Welcome to Saratoga National Little League (SNLL) – on behalf of the Board of Directors, we hope you enjoy the 2009 season as we are all looking forward to a great year!
Our number one goal remains the same -- to make sure the players, coaches, and parents enjoy a memorable experience. We made several improvements in 2008 to make SNLL facilities a place everyone in the community can be proud of:
- Our minor and bantam fields were reconditioned with new infield dirt, pitcher’s mounds, and bases.
- The minor and major field dugouts had new roofs installed along with all new windscreens.
- In the past we have had problems with vandalism so security cameras have been installed with a direct feed to the police station.
In addition, the league has been working to make sure the Christopher Chubb Major Field Light Project becomes a reality this fall. We have received numerous donations, and are well on our way of raising $95,000 to install the lights in memory of Christopher.
Last year we had almost 300 kids participate from t-ball thru majors, and this year’s turn-out should be equal in terms of number of kids. We have also seen a huge increase in the number of minor league players, so we have decided to create two divisions within the minors to allow more playing time for everyone involved.
As some of you may know, our league focuses first and foremost on kids having a fun time, developing friendships, learning solid baseball skills, and being part of a team. We also want devoted players and families to know that SNLL's mission is to develop community-minded individuals who love, respect, and honor this great American pastime and their nation.
On behalf of the Board of Directors we hope you enjoy the 2009 season!
Sincerely,
Derrick LeGall,
SNLL President
